David Clarkson is leaving his role as European head of prime brokerage at J.P. Morgan, and will now pursue new opportunities outside of the firm.
Clarkson joined J.P. Morgan in November 2012.
Jonathan Cossey has been appointed to replace him as head of prime brokerage for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and will also expand his role in equity finance from head of EMEA to global head.
Paul Brannan has been appointed as head of prime brokerage for North America, and Jason Sippel, who will move to join the London office this autumn, will lead the prime brokerage unit as a whole.
These changes represent J.P. Morgan’s commitment to building a global franchise, according to a source at the firm.
