Astanin re-elected to SWIFT board of directors
Eddie Astanin, chairman of the executive board of National Settlement Depository (NSD), Russia’s central securities depository, has been re-elected to the board of directors of the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT).
Astanin has held this post since 2015, when Russia’s representative joined the SWIFT board for the first time.
The board includes 25 members representing countries with the highest SWIFT message traffic.
Astanin was nominated in accordance with the resolution of the annual general meeting of the Russian National SWIFT Association (ROSSWIFT) which was adopted on 18 April 2018.
