RBC hires Peter Abric

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Capital Markets has hired Peter Abric as managing director for securities lending.

Based in New York, Abric will be focused on securities lending in the US.

He will report to Andrew Thornhill, managing director, of equity finance.

In his new role, Abric will focus on optimising funding sources for internal assets as well as servicing client demand for stock loans and borrows.

He brings with him almost 30 years of experience in leadership and management roles in the securities finance market, including securities lending, collateral management, and synthetics.

Most recently, he served as vice president, securities finance, and collateral management sales at Broadridge.

Prior to Broadridge, Abric served as managing director, equity finance for Wells Fargo where he was responsible for all aspects of strategic planning, business, customer development, and day to day management of the securities finance business across Wells Fargo securities.
