Goldman Sachs makes two new hires

Thomas Doyle has joined Goldman Sachs as managing director and head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) single stock synthetic products group distribution, and David Cornish has joined as managing director and head of quant distribution.

In his new role, Doyle will work closely with Goldman Sachs’ prime brokerage and sales team across equities.

Doyle will help to consolidate and grow synthetic balances with EMEA accounts trading globally as well as global accounts trading EMEA synthetics.

Most recently, Doyle served as managing director in delta one sales at Citi as head of synthetic distribution and stock loan.

Prior to this, he was a director at Merrill Lynch where he covered hedge fund clients for the prime financing desk.

Meanwhile, Cornish will help coordinate the closing of the quant hedge fund gap, across prime brokerage and electronic trading in his new role at Goldman Sachs.

Previously, Cornish worked at J.P. Morgan where he was an executive director in hedge fund and alternatives in investor services sales.

Cornish has held various roles across the industry in execution sales, prime brokerage sales, and business development.
