FIS has welcomed appointments John Burnett and Neil Fowler as part of the firm’s investment in its securities finance and collateral business.
Both hires will be based in London, with Burnett reporting to Andrew Murray, head of sales, banks and markets, capital markets, Europe, and Fowler reporting to Rafiq Tai, business solutions manager, post trade, securities finance and collateral.
Burnett joins FIS’ European sales team as EMEA senior sales director, where he will harness his extensive network and experience in the industry to build and enhance the FIS securities and derivatives client community.
Previously, Burnett was international sales director at Broadridge before joining FIS. During his career, he held senior positions at DST Systems, OpenText, Transcom and Convergys.
FIS Business Solutions Group adds Fowler to help bring the next generation FIS securities finance platform to the market.
Fowler joins FIS from Calypso, where he ran pre-sales for securities finance and acted as product manager for the firm’s securities finance division during his eight-year term at the company.
Additionally, Fowler held securities finance trader positions during his four years at Citi and seven-year term with UBS.
