CIBC Mellon plans to amalgamate its two sister companies into one entity, effective 1 November 2024.
CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services Company (GSS) and CIBC Mellon Trust Company (CMT), upon amalgamation, will operate solely as CIBC Mellon Trust Company.
In addition, CMT will succeed as party to any contracts currently in the name
of GSS by operation of law.
Contracts currently in the name of CMT will not be impacted, the firm says.
