The Global Peer Financing Association (GPFA) has welcomed University Pension Plan (UPP) Ontario as its newest member.
According to the association, the move further expands its Canadian membership, “strengthening our global community of beneficial owners”.
UPP is Ontario’s newest jointly sponsored pension plan and was created to provide a sector-wide defined benefit pension plan to guarantee sustainable pensions to members.
Commenting on the new member, a GPFA representative says: “Their commitment to transparency, and collaboration within Ontario’s university community will bring valuable insights and further our collective mission to enhance education, engagement, and efficiency in the securities finance market.”
