RMA conference postponed until October 2022

This year’s RMA Securities Finance and Collateral Management conference has been postponed owing to concerns over COVID-19.

The conference was scheduled to run as an in-person event from 18-21 October 2021 at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Florida.

However, the RMA has now taken a decision to reschedule the event for 10-13 October 2022 at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne in Miami.

Commenting on this development, RMA director of securities lending and global markets risk Fran Garritt says that “the RMA has been closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and the comfort level of our community for travel and in-person meetings”.

Last week, it asked for final commitments to attend this conference, the 37th Annual RMA Securities Finance and Collateral Management Conference in Florida.

“In light of responses and out of concern for the safety of attendees, employees and sponsors, we have determined that we must postpone this year’s conference,” says Garritt.

The RMA is pleased to announce that the conference has already been rescheduled and it is also looking into scheduling additional industry events in 2022.

“We appreciate your understanding and look forward to hosting a robust conference in 2022,” says the RMA.
