The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has appointed Nick Rustad as the new group head of LCH SwapClear and Listed Rates.

In his new role, Rustad will drive performance and growth while ensuring the continued resilience of the SwapClear and Listed Rates clearing services.

Based in London, he will report to Susi de Verdelon, CEO, LCH Limited, and join her leadership team.

Rustad brings 25 years of experience in the financial services to his position, and most recently served as deputy chief operating officer at Taula Capital Management.

For 20 years he was posted at J.P. Morgan, where he led the global futures and derivatives clearing business.

In addition, Rustad was a member of the board of directors for the FIA from 2016-2022, including two years as chairman, and was a non-executive director for LCH Limited from 2021-22.

Commenting on the appointment, De Verdelon says: “Nick’s experience will be incredibly valuable as we focus on delivering new products, as well as the growth and resilience of the services in the years to come.”
