Marex has appointed Alex Salomon to head Prime Services sales, marking the first on-the-ground presence for this team in Israel.
Based in Tel Aviv, Salomon will focus on supporting hedge funds, family offices, asset managers, and institutional clients across the Israeli market, providing access to Marex’s global prime brokerage and outsourced trading platform.
He will also work to connect clients to international markets, liquidity, and infrastructure.
The appointment reflects Marex’s continued investment in expanding its Prime Services footprint, combining local coverage with global capability.
Salomon comments: “Tel Aviv is a highly active and diverse market, with clients operating across strategies and asset classes, and a strong outward focus on global opportunities.
“A strong commitment and a man on the ground makes a difference in how you support that, particularly around execution, timing, and access.”
Bringing more than 25 years’ experience across institutional trading, credit, and investment markets, Salomon previously held senior trading and credit roles at major international banks including Barclays Capital, Citi, and Merrill Lynch, working across global markets.
More recently, he has held senior investment roles at Hanavah Macro and Exigent Capital.
He was a founding partner at Alon Credit and serves in an advisory capacity at Logiq Capital and as chairman of the board at Strawberry Fields BVI REIT.
Jack Seibald, global co-head of Prime Services and Outsourced Trading at Marex, says: “Tel Aviv is a sophisticated and highly connected market; having dedicated prime services coverage locally is an important step in how we support clients in the region.
“Our focus is on helping managers launch, scale, and operate effectively by combining prime brokerage, outsourced trading, and capital introduction within a single, globally connected offering. Alex’s experience and network strengthen our ability to deliver that locally while connecting clients to opportunities globally.”
