Clearstream GSF volume outstanding rises 22% YoY for August

Clearstream’s global securities financing (GSF) business has displayed a 22 per cent increase year-on-year (YoY) for volume outstanding, generating €1,072 billion in August, according to recent monthly figures.
The business reports a 30 per cent increase in year-to-date figures for the same month to €995 billion.
International business securities deposits through the firm’s ICSD have risen 11 per cent YoY to €10,431 billion for August, with the number of transactions falling 11 per cent to 8 million.
Looking at domestic business for Clearstream’s Luxembourg CSD and German CSD, securities deposits rose 4 per cent YoY to €7,257 billion, with the number of transactions climbing 18 per cent to 21 million.
For Investment Funds Services, securities deposits reached €5,224 billion, climbing 25 per cent YoY, while the number of transactions were up 26 per cent to 7 million.
For assets under custody, recent figures report a 12 per cent YoY increase in August to €22,912 billion.
