Bridges joins Clear Street

Clear Street has appointed Colin Bridges as managing director of prime services at its London office.

He joins Clear Street from financial services firm Cowen, where he served in a number of senior positions over a five-year term, most recently as director of prime brokerage sales.

Prior to this, Bridges worked in hedge fund sales at Global Prime Partners between 2013 and 2016, and in equity financing, prime services sales and onboarding at BNP Paribas from 2008 to 2013.

In a LinkedIn post, Bridges said: “After 6 great years at Cowen, I am excited to share that I've just started as Managing Director at Clear Street, helping them to build their London business.”

He adds: “Clear Street is building modern infrastructure for capital markets. Founded in 2018 by industry veterans, Clear Street is an independent, non-bank prime broker designed to solve the industry’s most neglected problem, legacy technology.

“We have built a proprietary, cloud-native, clearing and custody system to replace the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets, improving speed, access, and service for our clients. Our plan is to expand and begin to offer our products Internationally.”
