GPFA appoints Cherie Jeffries as US regional lead

The Global Peer Financing Association (GPFA) has welcomed Cherie Jeffries as US regional lead, where she will oversee the association’s US beneficial owner segment.

Jeffries retains her current position as director of fixed income trading at the State Board of Administration of Florida, as the GPFA is a volunteer-led non-profit organisation.

Jeffries brings nearly 30 years of experience to GPFA and has worked in her current role since 2012.

She previously worked as chief investment officer at the Florida Department of Financial Services’ Division of Treasury and before that at Brown Brothers Harriman, working for almost a decade at each firm.

Commenting on the appointment, Robert Goobie, Chairperson of the GPFA, says: "GPFA is thrilled to have Cherie take on this important leadership role for the Association in the U.S. market. Cherie has been working closely with our Board of Directors to engage our U.S. based members and lead beneficial owner discussions across industry conferences and events and we look forward to her continued involvement as our Association grows further."
