Chiuch swaps Clear Street for Curvature Securities

Agency lending veteran Robert Chiuch has joined broker-dealer Curvature Securities’ securities finance solutions team as director of special projects.

Based in New York, he will report to Michael Bodner, president of Curvature Securities.

Chiuch departed from Clear Street in October 2023. He had joined the prime broker in August 2020 as part of a new securities finance initiative designed to improve the securities finance experience for Clear Street’s institutional clients.

Prior to this, he spent almost eight years at BNY Mellon, where he held a number of senior positions. Chiuch was most recently managing director, global head of equity and fixed income finance at the firm.

Chiuch is a former president of the Canadian Securities Lending Association (CASLA).

Before this, he held an 11-year tenure at CIBC Mellon, where he was co-head and executive director of global securities finance trading and capital markets.

Commenting on the hire, Bodner says: “Chiuch brings with him many years of securities finance and asset servicing experience and we look forward to him helping to expand our equity and fixed income product offerings.”
