Hanwha Investment & Securities has partnered with Chainlink to adopt its data standard and Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for its forthcoming real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation platform.

The partnership comes as South Korea is preparing to introduce its framework for tokenised securities in February 2027.

The firms are collaborating on tokenisation criteria, distribution, and collateral use cases for RWAs.

Chainlink is also providing pricing and net asset value (NAV) data for issued products within Hanwha’s tokenisation platform, with CCIP allowing instruments and liquidity to move securely across public and private blockchains.

Hanwha is in talks with asset managers and issuers on tokenising and distributing a range of RWA products, with plans to bring these positions to institutional investors via Chainlink.

The firms are forming a joint working group to explore technology and compliance to align with the institutionalisation of tokenised securities in South Korea and will work on valuation and reserve methods necessary for RWAs as collateral.

Insung An, chief digital officer at Hanwha Investment & Securities, says: “Our goal is to tokenise quality assets that clients have wanted but found difficult to access, and to open a new financial market where they are issued, distributed, and used as collateral across global markets.

“Chainlink is our key global strategic partner in realising this vision, and with Chainlink’s standards at the core of our platform, we can build it on a stable and trusted technology foundation.”

Chainlink’s chief business officer Johann Eid adds: “By adopting the Chainlink data standard and CCIP as its official oracle infrastructure, Hanwha Investment & Securities is putting institutional-grade security at the centre of its global tokenisation strategy."
