Cowen has hired Maria Damiano as vice president for marketing within its equity finance group, focusing on Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Based in New York, Damiano will report to Rory Zirpolo, head of securities lending at Cowen, who also serves as managing director and head of the equity finance group.
Damiano joins Cowen after working at Commerzbank for 15 years. At the bank, she served as vice president for equity finance.
Zirpolo said: "Damiano will help us to market our services to a broader range of potential clients as we look more to the EMEA region. Her experience is second to none and we look forward to her joining the team."
