Clearstream’s securities financing volumes dip

Volumes in Clearstream’s securities finance business fell 5 percent in January.
Average outstanding volume went from €519.8 billion to €495 billion year over year.
Securities held under custody in Clearstream’s domestic and international central securities depositories enjoyed a 2 percent increase in January.
Custody volumes rose from from €6.69 trillion and €4.47 trillion, respectively, in January 2016 to €6.8 trillion and €4.54 trillion last month.
