NGT sees more than 45,000 securities finance trades in one day

EquiLend has found that 45,469 securities finance trades were made through the Next Generation Trading (NGT) service on the 7 February 2018.

In total, on 7 February, there was $43.9 billion notional.

According to EquiLend, this was due to widespread industry adoption and recent market volatility.

NGT, which is a trading platform for the securities finance marketplace, leverages EquiLend’s existing trading venues and messaging capabilities.
