Clearstream’s Richard Glen becomes head of collateral management

Richard Glen has stepped up to take on the newly-created role of Clearstream’s general manager and head of collateral management for banking, funding and financing.

He now reports to Tilman Fechter, and is responsible for the management and development of global collateral solutions for clients of Clearstream and the wider Deutsche Boerse Group.

Glen, who is based in London, has over twenty years of securities financing industry experience and has been with Clearstream for just over 10 years in various roles.

He was previously the manager of Clearstream Banking at the London branch as well as the head of client relations in the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Americas.

Prior to that, Glen received another promotion in May 2016 when he became senior vice president and head of global securities financing sales (GSF), in the UK, Ireland, Americas and Asia Pacific.

This promotion followed on from his role as vice president where he led the GSF sales and relationship management team in London.

Glen has previously worked at BGC Partners as vice president and Dresdner Bank as head of trade settlement services and a client relationship manager.
