State Street has hired Mitsushiro Kaminishizono as managing director and head of Financing Solutions Japan, Markets.

Based in Tokyo, Kaminishizono will lead the agency lending, secured financing, and prime services businesses, working with Japanese asset owners to help them achieve their investment, liquidity, and securities financing objectives.

Kaminishizono brings over 17 years of experience, having most recently worked for J.P. Morgan as a coverage banker within the firm’s financial institutions group.

Prior to that, he spent more than 16 years at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation holding positions in repo and securities lending sales within the firm’s New York and Tokyo offices.

In an online statement, Kaminishizono comments: “As financing markets in Japan continue to evolve, I look forward to helping clients navigate funding, liquidity, and balance sheet optimisation opportunities while advancing the growth of our franchise.”
