Velocity Clearing has made key leadership changes within its Global Markets division to strengthen institutional client engagement; expand capabilities; and enhance coordination across distribution, product management, and trading.
Dante Ferrarie will lead Global Markets distribution, as well as equities and derivatives outsourced trading. He will oversee institutional outreach, expand adoption of offerings, and build out the outsourced sales trading team.
He brings more than 20 years of industry experience, previously holding head positions within the equities teams at Merrill Lynch, Soleil Securities, and Guggenheim Securities.
Michael Capelli will lead global trading product management, overseeing strategy, development, and the growth of the firm’s offerings, with a focus on electronic trading across asset classes.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector, Capelli spent 15 years at agency execution specialist Liquidnet where he was most recently head of execution and quantitative services, Americas.
Ferrarie and Capelli will both report to Ralston Roberts, co-president and head of Global Markets.
According to the firm, Joe Infantino and Michael Mainwald will continue to lead the firm’s trading team, providing execution expertise across Latin America, retail, institutional, electronic trading, and overnight support.
These leadership changes reinforce accountability across distribution, client coverage, product development, and execution while supporting a more integrated approach to serving our clients, the firm says.
