Murex launches AI research initiative

Murex has launched Murex AI Research, an initiative that focuses on conducting research on artificial intelligence in capital markets.
The initiative combines research on advanced AI methods and applications, strategic analysis of AI’s impact on technology, economics, and society, and applied exploration aimed at improving how complex financial systems are created, operated, and managed.
The project also brings together researchers, specialists, and external academic partners to investigate the long-term impact of AI on financial systems.
Its work spans the full capital markets value chain, from modelling, pricing, and risk management to operations, post-trade processes, and finance.
Elias Eddé, CEO of Murex, states: “AI is not simply another technology cycle. It is reshaping how financial markets operate, how decisions are made, and ultimately how value is created across the industry.

By studying emergent AI technologies and their implications for capital markets, Murex AI Research aims to help inform Murex’s strategic direction and contributes to the evolution of the MX.3 platform — the firm’s cross-asset integrating platform.
