Reg-X Innovations, a London-based regulatory reporting solution provider, has onboarded Paul Cannell as head of sales and marketing.
The Reg-X platform supports a wide range of global regulations, including MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR, and CFTC.
Cannell brings more than 25 years of experience in strategic leadership across equity financing and repos to the role.
He joins from TEAMCo where he served as a part-time exam invigilator team leader after a two-year career break.
Prior to that, Cannell ran European business development for MarketAxess, where he was responsible for growing the firm’s footprint in post trade straight-through processing (STP) products.
He also served as a senior securities finance professional at MUFG for nearly eight years. During that time, he was responsible for increasing the firm’s revenue and managing repo and stock lending client relationships.
As senior equity and fixed income lending trader at J.P. Morgan Chase, Cannell managed client portfolios and facilitated client trading.
He was also a securities lending trader at BNY for more than three years.
