Federico Becerra will be joining the National Bank of Belgium on 1 October 2025, a move he says will allow him “to help safeguard their financial system”.
He is moving from Clearstream, where he worked as a director, head of treasury front office, for almost five years.
He will join the team supervising market infrastructures, payment services, and cyber risk in order to protect the stability, security, and efficiency of the economy.
Becerra states via LinkedIn that he is honoured to work for Belgium’s central bank and to contribute to work with such a meaningful impact.
He further writes that this move is significant to him on a personal level, saying it “allows me to continue life with my partner in Belgium and be closer to my daughters — combining purposeful work with being near the people who matter most”.
