Eurex Frankfurt AG has announced the appointment of Eric Leupold as CEO of Eurex, succeeding Robbert Booij, effective 1 January 2027.

Leupold currently serves as managing director of Cash Market and chief of staff for the Trading & Clearing Division.

He began his career at Deutsche Börse Group in 2009 and has held various senior leadership roles, including positions in DB1 Ventures, Cash Market, and Trading & Clearing Strategy.

Thomas Book, executive board member of Deutsche Börse Group, says: “[Eric’s] deep understanding of our business and extensive experience across Deutsche Börse Group make him the ideal successor to lead Eurex into its next chapter of innovation and growth.

“I am confident that under his leadership, Eurex will continue to thrive and deliver exceptional value to our clients and stakeholders.”

The leadership change follows Robbert Booij’s decision not to seek an extension of his executive board mandate.
