Pirum has appointed Ray Wong as director of product for AI and data, a role focused on driving the firm’s ongoing development and roll-out of agentic AI products.

Based in London, Wong brings 20 years of product leadership experience across capital markets technology, having led engineering, sales, and product teams in Asia, Europe, and North America.

Wong joins from Duco, where he led product management across the firm's capital markets automation suite.

His prior roles include head of innovations at AG Delta, a Singapore-based fintech, where he built structured products platforms connecting private banks with market makers, and product specialist at Reuters, covering treasury and risk across major banks in Asia.

Ben Challice, CEO of Pirum, comments: “Ray brings exactly the combination we need at this point in Pirum's development: deep experience in capital markets technology, a builder's instinct paired with a commercial mindset, and a clear view of where AI is going across capital markets.

“We have already built strong momentum in moving agentic AI from pilot to production in a regulated setting, and Ray's experience doing exactly that means he can help us invest further and move even faster on what we're building.”

Wong adds: “I am looking forward to working with the leadership team across EMEA and North America, as well as our clients worldwide, and bringing to market products that give securities finance desks a measurable operational advantage.”

The Pirum network currently connects more than 150 global financial institutions and processes US$6.5 trillion in daily transactions.
